Thank you so much for letting us share our lives with you! We know you have a lot of decisions ahead of you and we admire the journey you are taking. We are thankful that you’ve chosen adoption and we pray that God leads you to the perfect family for you and your baby.
A little about us…We have known each other since high school, but it was not until college that we started dating and fell in love. We have now been married for almost 9 years and our relationship has only strengthened with time. We are lucky to be married to our best friends!
We have always wanted to have children and began trying to get pregnant shortly after getting married. Through
struggles with infertility, it became clear that God was leading us to grow our family through adoption. As soon as we made the decision to adopt, we felt such a peace and hope for our future as parents. In January 2009, we were blessed with the birth of our adopted daughter, Emilyn. Parenting has brought us joys that we had only dreamed about and we are so excited to add another little one to our family! Our families and friends are a very active part of our lives and have been so supportive of our decision to adopt a child. They love being grandparents, aunts and uncles and are excited to have another kiddo to adore.
We live in a mid-sized community in Central Colorado. It has a great small-town feel but is still close enough to a major metropolitan area to enjoy all that a big city has to offer. The schools in our district are some of the best in the state and we have an elementary school within walking distance of our house. We live on a quiet street near a large open park and have two playgrounds within a few blocks. In our family time, we love to be outside and we are close to trails for great hiking and biking. We also enjoy spending time at zoos, swimming pools, museums, sporting events and family church events.
We are so excited to complete our family through adoption! We
understand that the process of adoption is a lifelong journey that doesn’t end at placement and we sincerely hope to have an open relationship with our child’s birth parents. Adoption is a common topic of conversion with Emilyn, especially at night when we pray together for her birth family. Our children will always know how much their birth parents love them and the sacrifices they made because of this love. We know that the decisions you are facing mush be over-whelming and we are praying for you during this difficult time.
With Love,
Brian and Nikki
