Dear Birth Parents,

Hello! We are Tyson and Melanie, and we are humbled and excited that you are considering us as adoptive parents for your child. We admire your courage in considering adoption for your child and want to thank you for giving us the opportunity to share a little about ourselves with you.

We have been married for over 6 1/2 wonderful years and have always desired to have a family. We both come from large families and knew from the moment we met that we would follow the same path. Since we have been unable to conceive on our own, we are excited about building our family through adoption. And about 2 1/2 years ago, God blessed us with our son, Joshua. He is such a joy in our lives and desire to be able to give the same love to another child in order to continue building our family.

Tyson was born and raised in Nebraska. He graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He currently works for Young Life (one of their camps) as a Maintenance/Construction Technician. He is very active in sports, enjoys being in the outdoors and loves all kinds of games. He is also very active in our church with the Stewardship Committee.

Melanie was born and raised in Virginia. She graduated from Longwood College. After a few years, she moved to New York to work as a nanny and then moved to Colorado to pursue a career as a Massage Therapist. Currently, she works for a local thrift store 2-3 days a week, where she is able to take Joshua with her. She enjoys being in the outdoors, reading, swimming, and hanging out with family and friends. She is also active in our church with Women’s Ministry.

Joshua was born here in Colorado about 3 years ago. He is sweet, active, has a gentle spirit, and loves to laugh. He is a true miracle from God.

We are best friends and have built our home on love, laughter, faith, trust and lots of fun. Our home is located in a quiet neighborhood in the mountains that is close to schools and our church with the great outdoors as our playground. We have 1 cat named, Tigger, who is very lovable and friendly. Melanie enjoys being able to stay home with Joshua and seeing him grow and learn, espccially with all the interaction while at the thrift store.

Since we are both very close to our families, we treasure family time whether as a vacation or holiday celebration. Our families are praying for us and look forward to welcoming the newest member of the family.

We look forward to introducing your child into our adventerous lives. We feel that children grow best in an atmosphere of love, acceptance and encouragement. We desire to provide an environment where your child has the freedom to develop their own dreams and desires.

Our faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation on which our family is built and our children will grow up with the knowledge of how much Jesus loves them. We are anxious to introduce your child to all that our Lord provides in life. We will celebrate holidays together, worship as a family, learn responsibility, explore the world and laugh always.
